Jeollanam-do lies at the heart of the fast growing North-East Asian Economy. Part of the region has been designated as a Free Trade Zone and a Free Economic Zone. Jeollanam-do offers investors; attractive incentives such as tax credits and grants, the best logistics infrastructure available anywhere in the world and high quality labour and stable labour relationships.

Jeollanam-do has built clusters for the three new core industries: steel, petrochemicals and shipbuilding. Biotech, aerospace and parts & new materials industries have been designated “strategic industries” for the future and their development promoted. Many renewable energy projects are under construction in the province and many more are planned. Jeollanam-do offers optimal conditions in particular for; off shore wind plants, tidal power plants and solar power plants.

An official delegation from the local government of Jeollanam-do will be in Germany from 05.02.2007 – 09.02.2007 to meet potential investors.
